Colorado Qualified Supervisor (QS) and Certified Operator (CO) Pesticide Practice Test

The sprayer tank is used to hold the liquid pesticide that will be sprayed. It serves as the reservoir for the spray solution (often a mixture of water and pesticide concentrate) and feeds that liquid to the pump and nozzles for application. The air or pressure needed to move the liquid comes from the pump or an air system—it's not stored in the tank. While you may mix water with the pesticide in the tank to create the spray solution, the tank’s primary role is to contain the liquid being applied, not to store air or tools.
